MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale beat Liberty-Benton, 13-3, in a Blanchard Valley Conference softball game Monday. The Falcons (4-4, 2-1 BVC) scored a run in the second inning before a five-run third and a six-run fourth.

Seneca East powers past Mohawk with big innings

ATTICA — Known more for its pitching and defense, Seneca East slugged its way past Mohawk, 12-7, to regain a share of first place in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball standings Monday. The Tigers’ win, combined with Upper Sandusky’s loss, puts both teams, along with Wynford, at two losses in the N10.

Tigers win 3-2

ATTICA — Seneca East answered Mohawk’s first-inning run with two of its own, and both teams scored only once after that as the Tigers took a 3-2 victory against Mohawk in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Monday.

Madison rallies

MANSFIELD — Madison rallied with three runs in the final two innings to defeat Wynford, 3-2, in a non-conference baseball game Monday. The Royals (8-4) scored once each in the first two innings.

Clifford no-hits Bucyrus in JV

Trevor Clifford pitched a no-hitter and got plenty of support on offense in a 28-0 Upper Sandusky junior varsity baseball victory against Bucyrus on Monday. Clifford walked four and struck out nine in five innings.

McKee drives in winning run

Rundown

Down to its last strike in the top of the seventh inning, Riverdale was in danger of falling below .500 again this year. Evan McKee came through, though, with a single up the middle to push the Falcons to a 7-6 non-conference baseball victory against Upper Sandusky on Saturday morning.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk baseball certainly was not rusty from a week off because of the senior class trip. The Warriors hammered out 31 hits on the day and took 25-0 and 14-6 victories in a doubleheader Saturday against Monroeville.

Fortner leads Wynford in Clyde Invitational

CLYDE — Cole Fortner won the 100 dash and led the Royals to first-place finishes in the 400 and 800 relays as Wynford took third Saturday in the Clyde Invitational. St. Francis was the boys winner with a 134-112 advantage on Fremont Ross. The Royals scored 81 points.
