CAREY — For 40 years, the Carey Classic has been held in the school’s gym at the school’s location on South Street. Next year, it will move to the new school on South Vance Street, making the host Blue Devils the final champion at the original school after they ran away with the title Saturday.

TIFFIN — Upper Sandusky’s boys rolled to wins against Tiffin Columbian, 120-29, and Norwalk, 116-53, in a double dual swim meet Saturday at the YMCA. The Tornadoes girls edged the Rams, 96-74, while Upper Sandusky topped the Truckers, 99-71.

Warriors go 4-5 at Gold Medal Duals in Napoleon

NAPOLEON — Led by Cole Draper's unbeaten mark, Mohawk went 4-5 to finish fifth against strong competition this weekend in the Gold Medal Duals at Napoleon. The host Wildcats edged Genoa by two points in a dual to finish 9-0 and knock off the three-time defending champion Comets.

Mohawk unable to sustain fast start against Crawford

SYCAMORE — Mohawk got off to a quick start, but Colonel Crawford slowly took over in a 51-34 victory in Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball action Saturday night. The Warriors (3-8, 2-7 N10) led 11-6 after one quarter, and the teams were tied at 17 at halftime before the Eagles (10-4, 7-2 N10) found their mark offensively.

The Bucks entered the week with three double-digit scorers, all ranked in the top 14 individually among league leaders, and the team averages 59.5 points per game to rank second.

CAREY — The Blue Devils girls basketball team continues to roll. Carey made quick work of short-handed Wynford at home Friday, 57-23, to improve to 13-0 (11-0 Northern 10 Athletic Conference). It stretched its first-half lead with an 18-3 run and held the Royals to single digits in each quarter.
