MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale defeated Cory-Rawson, 70-17, in a Blanchard Valley Conference girls basketball game Thursday. The Falcons (9-5, 5-1 BVC) outscored the Hornets, 27-2, in the opening quarter and took a 48-6 lead at halftime.

FOREST — St. Paul Lutheran Church won 8-5 and 2-1 with a 4-2 loss in between Thursday in Wyandot County Church Dartball action at Heritage Christian Union Church.

Upper Sandusky’s seventh grade girls basketball team edged Ridgedale, 24-22, on Thursday. Lyndsey McQuown led the Rams with 10 points, while Lia Barth scored eight points.

PORT CLINTON — Angeline held on for a 51-45 victory against Ottawa County on Thursday evening at Camp Perry. The Indians (2-1) built a 21-6 lead after one quarter and saw it get cut to 27-16 by halftime and 35-25 entering the third quarter.

COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove defeated Riverdale, 39-28, in a wrestling dual Wednesday evening at Columbus Grove. There were only six contested matches, with the rest either forfeits or double forfeits.

TIFFIN — Best of the Best Basketball will host its sixth annual Spring Shootout on March 12-13 at the Heminger Center on the campus of Tiffin University. There will be divisions for grades 4-8.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk eighth grade girls basketball team topped Colonel Crawford, 18-11, on Tuesday. Hailey Miller had 11 points, and Alexis Stauffer scored seven points to account for all of the Warriors’ points.

BUCYRUS — The impact of Kelci Simms’ presence was obvious Tuesday night. With the 6-0 forward on the bench in the first half, the Redmen fell behind by eight points, but she came back in time to help Bucyrus prevail over rival Wynford, 48-42.
