ARCHBOLD — Riverdale gave up a goal in each half and dropped a 2-0 non-conference soccer decision Saturday at Archbold. Josh Kidder scored on an assist from Keegan Ott at the 20:03 mark in the first half, and again at the midway point of the second half, AJ Short scored with an assist by Austin Welch for the Blue Streaks (5-2).

CAREY — Mohawk had not beaten its Wyandot County rival Carey for five years, and the Warriors were not about to let wet, sloppy conditions or anything else stand in their way of doing that Friday night.

On a rainy night in Upper Sandusky, the Rams secured their second consecutive Northern 10 Athletic Conference victory to move them to 2-0 in the conference. Their opponent, the Ridgedale Rockets, could not find an answer for the Rams running game.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Despite three opportunities to score from the opponent’s 1-yard line and a chance to even the game, the Riverdale Falcons were stopped short with no timeouts as the clock reached all zeroes.

With its top two players having below-average rounds, Mohawk got just what it needed from Carson Weinandy. The junior shot a 39 to lead the Warriors to a big 173-183 Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf victory against Upper Sandusky on Thursday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club.

CAREY — A stellar defensive effort helped Carey earn a signature Northern 10 Athletic Conference win Thursday night, 25-19, 25-13, 25-22, against Buckeye Central. The Blue Devils (8-1, 4-0 N10) had five players reach double-digits in digs with another one away and controlled each set early against the powerhouse Bucks (4-3, 2-2 N10).

MOUNT BLANCHARD — After Liberty-Benton scored a goal midway though the first half, things looked like they were coming apart for the Riverdale soccer team as the Eagles were able to keep the pressure on the Falcons for much of the rest of the first half.

Both Upper Sandusky and Cory-Rawson remained unbeaten on the year as the teams tied 1-1 in a girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association match Thursday. Grace Miller scored with 9:34 remaining to prevent the Rams (5-0-1, 2-0-1 NCOSA) from suffering their first loss of the year.

BUCYRUS — Northern 10 Athletic Conference scoring leader Johnny Diehm shot a 40 to lead Seneca East to a 173-206 victory against Wynford on Thursday. Alex Forehand added a 42, Riley Kalb shot a 44, and Dylan Kalb scored a 47 for the Tigers (5-2 N10).
