UNDEFEATED: Rams hold on to go 22-0

The camo-clad Rams student section cheered as coach Jeff Winslow cut down the net. Upper Sandusky, with its fresh, season-high AP poll ranking of No. 2, completed its regular season without a loss. Undefeated. 22-0. The last two didn’t come easy. For the second time in as many games, Upper Sandusky needed to make free throws to stave off a second-half rally.

Bucks start fast in win over Falcons

NEW WASHINGTON — Buckeye Central outscored Riverdale by 20 in the first half of a 54-32 win in a non-league game Tuesday. The Bucks (15-6) led 17-6 after one quarter, 28-8 at halftime and 40-20 after three quarters.

OLD FORT — Eric Bell scored 21 points, and Jacob Webb added 20 points to lead Old Fort to a 63-54 victory against Carey on Tuesday night. Abel LaRoche had 18 points, and Brayden Wentling scored 10 points for the Blue Devils (10-11).

Sen-San-Wyan softball league to hold meeting

TIFFIN — The first organizational meeting for all coaches in the Seneca-Sandusky-Wyandot girls softball league will be at 7 p.m. March 2 in the Upper Room at St. Joseph Activity Center on Melmore Street in Tiffin. The instructional league is open to all girls in the surrounding areas and no girl will be denied participation on her home team.

3-on-3 hoops fundraiser set at Wynford HS

BUCYRUS — A Hoops for Cancer 3-on-3 men’s basketball tournament is being held from 12-8 p.m. March 13 at Wynford High School. Registration is $20 (cash only) per team, and all money raised will be donated to the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
