Knedler, Riegle score in Falcons’ win

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Corbin Knedler and Justin Riegle scored goals, and the Riverdale boys soccer team finished its regular season with a 2-1 victory against Ottoville on Saturday night. Knedler scored on a penalty kick in the 26th minute to make it 1-0, and it stayed that way until the final six minutes.

Coppler bowls 300

Brian Coppler

Bryan Coppler bowled a 300 during his second game of Tuesday Night Classic at Wyandot Lanes on Oct. 6. It was the first perfect game at the bowling alley since new lanes were installed in August. It also was Coppler’s first perfect game.

Tourney event times changed

After initially setting an earlier start time, Upper Sandusky High School has moved the start of its Division II sectional semifinal soccer match against Lima Shawnee back to 5 p.m. Monday, and it now will be played on the USHS football field.

Carey has no problem beating Seneca East

CAREY — Carey cruised through its last home game of the regular season Tuesday, beating Seneca East in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match, 25-9, 25-14, 25-11. Shelby Kin had 21 kills to lead the Blue Devils (18-3, 12-3 N10). She also recorded three blocks to aid the Carey defense.
