NORTH ROBINSON — The Upper Sandusky eighth grade girls basketball team defeated Colonel Crawford, 37-17, on Thursday. Reagan Ward led a balanced Rams scoring effort with nine points, and Eve Smith had eight points.

Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church B began its Wyandot County Church Dartball League season with 11-3 and 6-5 victories against John Stewart United Methodist Church before a 9-7 loss Thursday. Trinity B had a bye the first week.

BUCYRUS — Wynford volleyball standout Alyssa Harrer will continue playing volleyball in college at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. The senior signed a letter of intent to commit to the NAIA school during a ceremony Wednesday afternoon in the Wynford High School media center.

MARION — Upper Sandusky’s boys won first place among six teams and the girls were second among seven Wednesday in the Mount Gilead Division II Invitational at the Marion YMCA. The Rams outscored Kenton, 579-404, in the boys race, with Mount Gilead third with 225 points.

Note: These results ran Monday but the meet manager left out Upper Sandusky swimmers in two events. The added swimmers would have changed the scores but not the result. In addition, a name was incorrect in the results that ran. BUCYRUS — Late-game execution got the Rams another Northern 10 win on the road. A last-minute scheme adjustment also helped. Upper Sandusky switched up its defense on a couple of key possessions late in a 58-54 win at Bucyrus on Tuesday.

CAREY — Teams have found no answer for stopping the combination of Carey guard Sydney Wentling and forwards Shelby and Sydney Kin. On Tuesday night, Buckeye Central found out those three players — averaging a combined 48 points per game — are not the only offensive threats for the Blue Devils.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Carey dominated in a tri-match, defeating Tiffin Calvert, 60-9, and Riverdale, 66-9, at Riverdale on Tuesday. The Falcons defeated the Senecas, 42-21, in the other match.

ATTICA — Mohawk lost a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls basketball game at Seneca East on Tuesday, 46-36. Chelsey Trusty led the Warriors (1-6, 1-4 N10) with 13 points.
