MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale won a close first set before taking its non-league volleyball match in three against Waynesfield-Goshen on Saturday, 25-23, 25-5, 25-17. Taylor Farmer was dominant from the service line for the Falcons (9-12), going 31-of-32 with seven aces. Farmer also went 44-of-45 setting with 14 assists and recorded four kills, 13 digs and a block.

Rams, Blue Devils get No. 3 seeds in volleyball tournament draws

Upper Sandusky earned a No. 3 seed and a first-round bye as sectional and district volleyball draws were held Sunday. The Rams (17-2) will host a sectional final match against the winner of No. 6 Clear Fork (12-6) and No. 8 Oak Harbor (10-7) at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22. The Colts and Rockets play at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Clear Fork.

Falcons girls get No. 2 seed

Riverdale earned the No. 2 seed in girls soccer district draws held Sunday. In Division III action in the Findlay district, sectional semifinal matches are at 5 p.m. Oct. 20, with sectional final matches at 2 p.m. Oct. 24.

Rams sweep Royals to remain unbeaten in N10

Upper Sandusky remained perfect in Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball matches Thursday with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-23 win over Wynford. The Rams, who already had clinched their fourth straight league title and second straight outright Northern 10 title coming in, are 33-0 in Northern 10 matches since the conference came together last season.
