MORRAL — Mya Morris had 15 kills to lead Mohawk to a 25-17, 25-9, 25-16 victory against Ridgedale in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Thursday evening. Morris added a team-best three aces and four digs for the Warriors (11-8, 9-6 N10).

LIMA — Lima Central Catholic held off Riverdale in the final set to earn a sweep, 25-13, 25-18, 26-24, in a non-conference volleyball match Thursday night.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale edged Van Buren in a close third set to complete a straight-sets victory in a Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball match Wednesday, 25-20, 25-7, 27-25.

Upper Sandusky High School’s volleyball team will host Volley for the Cure and Senior Night on Oct. 15. against Liberty-Benton. The team will recognize seniors and accept donations for breast cancer research. Students wearing pink will get free admission.

Roger Jump, of Sycamore, had his first hole-in-one Sept. 30 at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. Jump scored the ace on the 135-yard par-3 No. 8 using a pitching wedge. Doug Smyser and Mark Rossel witnessed the shot.

Upper Sandusky High School will have a cheer clinic Oct. 19, 20 and 22 at Union Middle School. The cost is $25 if registered before Oct. 19 and $30 at the event. Forms were sent home with students and are available at the high school.

Upper Sandusky High School alumni night is Oct. 23. Practice for alumni cheerleaders is 6 p.m. Oct. 18 in the high school gym. Shirts are available by calling the high school.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale FFA Chapter is holding a 5K on Nov. 7 to support American soldiers. Pre-registration before Oct. 23 is $5, and registration after Oct. 23 is $10.

Upper Sandusky High School will host a winter sports parent meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 in the high school gym. Parents of all winter sports athletes are expected to attend.
