GALION — Bailee Daughenbaugh had 17 points, and Mohawk cruised to an easy 54-31 victory against Galion in a non-conference girls basketball game Tuesday night. Chelsey Trusty added 10 points and four assists, and Megan Cleveland had nine points for the Warriors (9-11).
OLD FORT — Carey rolled to its 18th straight win Tuesday, topping Old Fort in a non-league girls basketball game, 66-36. The Blue Devils (18-0) led 13-8 at the end of the first quarter, before they strung together a 46-13 run in the middle quarters to run away.
MOUNT BLANCHARD — The girls on the Riverdale basketball team wanted to leave their home court for the final time in the 2015-16 season on a happy note when they hosted Upper Scioto Valley on Monday night.
CAREY — Carey used hustle to make up for a lack of size, but in the third quarter, Liberty-Benton took control and pulled away for an 82-72 victory Monday night. None of the Blue Devils’ five starters were as tall as any of the Eagles’ first unit members, who all measured at 6-1 or bigger.
Upper Sandusky Middle School won the Northern 10 Athletic Conference wrestling title Saturday with 138.5 points.
Upper Sandusky Middle School will host an area wrestling tournament with proceeds going toward the eighth grade trip to Washington, D.C. Wrestlers up to age 14 are eligible to compete in the inaugural Cory Washburn Memorial Tournament at 10 a.m. March 13.

NORTH ROBINSON — Upper Sandusky came up short in its bid to be named the best team in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference, but it continued to close the gap Saturday at Colonel Crawford. The Eagles boys and girls won the Northern 10 Invitational, though no conference champion is being named this year because only four schools in the league have teams.
