Annual Ram Rumble set for Thursday

The Ram Rumble is slated for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Upper Sandusky High School football stadium. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Upper Sandusky fall athletes, cheerleaders and marching band members will be attending.

CAREY — The 2015 Carey Fest cornhole tournament is set for Aug. 8 in the IGA parking lot in downtown Carey. Registration begins at 5 p.m. and the tournament begins at 5:30 p.m. after the parade.

5K race slated

Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care will host the 5K Paint Race on Sept. 5 at Harrison Smith Park. Proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Awards will be presented to the top three overall runners in each age group (18 and younger, 19-34 and 55 and older). There will be a trophy given to the largest participating team. Upper Galaxy Twirling’s Jaelynn Summit (left) and Jenna Clary both placed at the United States Twirling Association’s 57th annual National Baton Competition in Beaumont, Texas. The pair placed third in dance twirl pairs and both finished fifth in solo competition.
