CALEDONIA — It was not easy, but Upper Sandusky came up with a 3-2 victory against River Valley in a girls tennis match Monday.

ATTICA — The Carey volleyball team won its eighth match in a row with a 25-11, 25-15, 25-14 victory at Seneca East on Monday night.

Norwalk had four players with seven or more kills and swept Upper Sandusky, 25-11, 27-25, 25-19, in a non-league volleyball match Saturday. Cara MacFarland and Megan Ewing paced the Truckers (9-4) with 15 and 13 kills, respectively, while Sara Staley had eight kills, and Lyndsey Sheldon finished with seven.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Gabi Rodriguez scored twice, and Riverdale defeated Ashland Crestivew, 3-1, in a non-conference girls soccer match Saturday.

One half was plenty enough time to decide the winner Saturday morning as Upper Sandusky beat Sandusky, 7-1, in a non-conference girls soccer match.

GALION — Wynford’s Matt Hall and Upper Sandusky’s Madelyn Shasteen both were second in their respective races Saturday in the Galion Festival at Amman’s Park.

OTTAWA — Carey’s ranked boys cross country team stood strong against larger competition, placing third in the Blue Division of the Blue-Gold Invitational hosted Saturday by Ottawa-Glandorf at Ottawa Park.

KANSAS — Mohawk’s girls finished fifth Saturday in the Myron Cline Invitational at Lakota. Tiffin Calvert topped Hopewell-Loudon, 59-86, for first place in the Rachel Munoz Division (III).
