Ten years after graduating from Upper Sandusky High School, Kerri (Kraus) Thiel admitted that she does not still have the height on her vertical leap that made her a standout athlete in volleyball and basketball and a state track and field champion in the high jump.

Smith gets 2,000th assist in win

Late in the third set of Thursday’s 3-0 victory over Mohawk, Upper Sandusky setter Emma Smith recorded her 2,000th career assist for the Rams varsity volleyball team. The third-year letterwinner’s milestone assist came by way of a perfect pass to teammate Jess Holly, who finished the point to put Upper Sandusky ahead 20-13 in the final set of the match. …
