BUCYRUS — Wynford had five players with five or more kills and held off a challenge from Seneca East, 25-16, 22-25, 25-15, 25-21, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night.

BUCYRUS — The Wynford girls golf team tied Seneca East at 231 in a match held recently at The Golf Club of Bucyrus.

SYCAMORE — There have been years where Wynford’s football program has gone unbeaten in conference play from top to bottom, but not this year.

Upper Sandusky’s girls lost four out of five matches to visiting Shelby on Monday in a non-league tennis meet. Paige Burger surrendered just two games for the Rams (8-5) at No. 3 singles, defeating Hannah Stone, 6-0, 6-2.

Mohawk finished Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf dual play 8-0 with a 167-193 victory against Ridgedale on Monday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. The Warriors (8-0 N10) got a 39 from Carson Weinandy, a 41 from Brayden Dunlap, a 43 from Chet Margraf and a 44 from Nathan Kimmet.

The Cardinals defeated the Packers, 16-10, in a season-opening Midget League Football game Sunday.

The 2015 Upper Sandusky High School Hall of Fame class will include Kerri Jo (Kraus) Thiel and Greg Micheli. They will be inducted prior to Friday’s football game against Buckeye Central.

The Upper Sandusky High School athletic department has announced Oct. 1 will be senior citizens night for the Rams’ home volleyball match against Seneca East.

Robbie Lee, of Upper Sandusky, had his first hole-in-one Wednesday on the par-3, 135-yard No. 8 hole at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. Lee used a an 8-iron, and the shot was witnessed by Dan Trease, Denny Trease and Don McCorkle.
