TIFFIN — Tiffin Columbian scored a pair of early second-half goals and held on for a 2-1 victory against Upper Sandusky in a boys North Central Ohio Soccer Association match Wednesday night.

Carey’s Destiny DeFeo was second in the girls race and Trevor Cook was third in the boys race and Carey’s boys took second Tuesday in the Wynford Invitational. DeFeo finished in 21:26.63, more than 14 seconds behind winner Taylor Harris (21:12.29) of Tiffin Calvert.

SYCAMORE — Once the Mohawk volleyball team got rolling, it was hard to stop. The Warriors dominated the first set, and Wynford never really threatened at any point in the match as Mohawk rolled to a 25-9, 25-18, 25-22 victory in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play Tuesday night.

ATTICA — Jess Holly followed a great week with a great match as Upper Sandusky defeated Seneca East, 25-12, 25-10, 25-17, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night. After being named the MaxPreps and American Volleyball Coaches Association Ohio Player of the Week, Holly had 15 kills on 23-of-26 hitting, served a pair of aces, was 10-of-10 serve receiving and had 11 digs for the Rams (6-1, 4-0 N10) against the Tigers (3-5, 0-4 N10).

CAREY — The Carey volleyball team served 28 aces to enter the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association record book in a 25-5, 25-1, 25-4 victory against Toledo Waite on Tuesday night. The Blue Devils’ serving effort ranks 14th all-time for a single match.

Upper wins easily at Bucyrus BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky had four players shoot either 42 or 43, and the Rams coasted to a 170-214 victory against Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf match Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus.

Mohawk defeats Seneca East NEW WASHINGTON — Marcus Miller shot a 39 to lead the Carey golf team to a 171-183 victory against Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf match Tuesday at Cranberry Hills Golf Course.

Jess Holly had 25 kills and Upper Sandusky rolled to its fifth straight win, defeating Pleasant, 25-18, 25-16, 25-11, on Saturday. Holly was efficient, hitting 37 of 38.

BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky’s Madelyn Shasteen finished eighth Saturday in the Bucyrus Elks Invitational at the Crawford County Fairgrounds. She finished in 21:02.68 to help Upper Sandusky finish 14th with 297 points.
