CAREY — The 2015 Carey Fest cornhole tournament is set for Aug. 8 in the IGA parking lot in downtown Carey. Registration begins at 5 p.m. and the tournament begins at 5:30 p.m. after the parade.

Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care will host the 5K Paint Race on Sept. 5 at Harrison Smith Park. Proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The NWCO Steam basketball program completed a summer season at the Fort Wayne AYBT Midwest Nationals from July 15-18. The seventh-grade squad, including Evan Young and Mason Vent of Upper Sandusky, went 6-0 in pool play to qualify for the gold tournament.

Age factors into many things in life, but being healthy and active is not always one. Rosemary Austin and Joe Nocera, both of Upper Sandusky, participated in the 2015 National Senior Games in Minnesota from July 7-10.

The Northern 10 Athletic Conference athletic ticket prices for varsity contests for the upcoming school year are $6 for adults and $5 for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. For junior varsity, freshman and junior high contests, tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for students.
