Arlington rallies to top Wynford in 4

BUCYRUS — Wynford pulled out a close first set, but Arlington rallied back for a 26-28, 25-11, 25-18, 25-16 victory to open the season Saturday. Alyssa Harrer led the Royals with 12 kills on 29-of-33 hitting, and Tara Zinser added seven kills on 20-of-22 hitting.

Easy win

The Upper Sandusky girls tennis team bounced back from its only loss of the year Thursday with a 4-1 victory against Willard on Friday. After falling 3-2 to Pleasant a day earlier, the Rams got back on track against the Crimson Flashes by getting all four of their wins in straight sets.

CAREY — Carey had a pair of players shoot in the 30s, but Arlington had three of them and posted a tri-match victory against the Blue Devils and North Baltimore on Thursday at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course. The Red Devils (3-0) shot a 149, the Blue Devils (4-1) scored a 168 and the Tigers (1-4) finished at 199.
