OHSAA’s new football contact guidelines aimed at reducing concussions The Ohio High School Athletic Association adopted recommendations by the National Federation of State High School Associations Concussion Summit Task Force, which will reduce the risk in football for concussions and head impact exposure, according to a release July 13. The OHSAA Board of Directors unanimously approved the changes in a conference call vote, the release said. Concussions can’t be prevented in a contact sport like football, but trying to limit exposure to high school athletes is a start. Read More
