Few reports of problems at county fair Posted on September 19, 2016 0 The Wyandot County Fair went relatively smoothly, with only a few injuries reported and one incident of alleged theft from a motor vehicle parked at the fairgrounds, according to reports received by press time today. An unidentified 8-year-old reportedly was injured when a horse stepped on the child in the area of the draft horse barn Friday evening. Additional information was not released. On Sunday, a Nevada woman reported being a victim of theft after a check totaling less than $25 allegedly was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the grove. The complainant said she was at the fairgrounds all day and at one point brought the check to her vehicle and left it on her front passenger seat. The complainant reported her vehicle was damaged, as she found an inside plastic piece that surrounds the inside door handle on the front, passenger-side door had fallen off and was lying on the floor of the vehicle. No exterior marks were located on the vehicle.
