Tiffin Bark Park to host 3rd annual fundraiser Feb. 4 Posted on January 27, 2017 0 BASCOM — The Tiffin Bark Park, one of northwest Ohio’s largest off-leash dog parks, will present it’s third annual fundraiser Feb. 4 at the Meadowbrook Park Ballroom, Bascom. Tickets are $20 pre-sale or $25 at the door. This year, McGuffey Lane will make its return to Seneca County for the first time in years as the headliner. Founded in Athens in the 1980s, the band has travelled extensively around the country with its brand of original country rock in the same vein as the Eagles and The Allman Brothers Band. The night will begin with two Put-In-Bay performers. Allie will perform at 7 p.m., followed by Flat Top Republic at 7:30 p.m. and McGuffey Lane at 8 p.m. In addition, the Ohio State Buckeyes’ Big Nut will be at the event for photo opportunities. The Tiffin Bark Bark is funded exclusively through monies raised by the Friends of the Tiffin Bark Park Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. No city money was used to build the facility nor is it used for maintenance. The upcoming fundraiser is the major avenue for raising money for the annual expenses. Since last year, a new locking system was installed at the park. Only those with veterinarian-approved dogs that have their vaccinations up to date can register to get a key fob to gain access to the park 24 hours a day. Registrations began in June and about 200 dogs are registered by more than 150 Seneca County residents. The 1.5-acre park is located at the north city limits on Washington Street at Highland Park.
