Each spring, summer, fall and winter, Wyandot County WIC offers a play date that is open to the general public at various locations around Upper Sandusky. Upcoming WIC events include the annual baby fair Aug. 2 and The Global Latch On on Aug. 6 on the Wyandot County Courthouse lawn. Local residents will share their support for breastfeeding during the annual event, which takes place at registered locations around the world. Attendees should get to the courthouse early so they can register before the official latch on, which has a 10:30 a.m. start. Aug. 1-7 is World Breastfeeding Week. Last year, 15,336 breastfeeding women participated with 14,889 children at 654 locations in 28 countries, according to The Global Latch On website. Total attendance at the events in 2015 was 36,502.
