In order to dust off the cobwebs and remind the community that Gottfried Nature Center continues to be open for their use, the Wyandot County Soil and Water Conservation District held a Wagons and Wheels event Saturday on the 22-acre center at 9735 CH 330, Upper Sandusky. Pictured are antique tractors brought and displayed by the Indian Mill Antique Tractor Association including a variety of antique tractors from the 1920s to late ‘50s, including a doodle bug homemade tractor at right from 1929. Food trucks also were on site so attendees could enjoy a meal in the sunshine. The walking trail along the 7-acre wetlands is open year-round for community use from dawn to dusk. Ag educator and H2Ohio specialist Lauren Burner said the center also is open to be rented out by donation for use for meeting locations and other events by calling the soil and water office.
