Man accused of shooting teen gets jail time for alcohol charges Posted on December 30, 2015 0 BELLEFONTAINE (AP) — A western Ohio man accused of fatally shooting a teenager while hosting a drinking party has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of providing alcohol to underage people. Twenty-year-old Evan Hoffman, of Lewiston, entered pleas Tuesday in Bellefontaine Municipal Court. He was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in jail, with all but six months of that suspended if he meets certain stipulations. The Bellefontaine Examiner reports Hoffman acknowledged in court he’d hosted underage drinking parties for profit. Hoffman was returned to jail. The court says he entered the pleas without an attorney. The Logan County prosecutor has said a grand jury will consider whether Hoffman should be charged in the Sunday shooting of 16-year-old Brandon Doseck, of Jackson Center. Authorities say Doseck had returned to the party after a dispute. ——— Information from: Bellefontaine Examiner, http://www.examiner.org
