Memorial set for ex-Ohio congressman Mike Oxley Posted on January 18, 2016 0 FINDLAY (AP) — A memorial service is scheduled next month in the hometown of former Ohio congressman Mike Oxley, who died Jan. 1. The service will be at the University of Findlay on Feb. 5. Oxley died at age 71 in northern Virginia after suffering from a type of lung cancer seen in nonsmokers. He spent 25 years in Congress, where he devoted most of his time to issues involving corporate oversight and insurance protection. Oxley was born and Findlay and rarely faced a close election in his rural northwest Ohio district.
