Armstrong, age 64, of Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Sycamore, passed away Jan. 24, 2023, at the emergency room of Santa Rosa Medical Cener in Milton, Florida. The family will have a visitation for Del from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Memorials may be made to Trinity UCC and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Verify Your Subscription Del was born May 28, 1958, in Bucyrus, to Merritt E. Armstrong and Lillian Burkhart, both of whom are deceased. He is survived by his stepmother, Mary (Searls) Armstrong, of Upper Sandusky. Del was first married to Marsha Batton, and then married Kathy Beamer, who survives in Upper Sandusky; along with his children, Brock (April) Armstrong and Kelsey (Josh) Thammarat), both of Upper Sandusky. He also is survived by his siblings, Troy (Angie) Armstrong, of Bucyrus; Marc (Donna) Searls, of Findlay; Matthew Searls, of Upper Sandusky; Teresa (Buddy) Seitz, of McArthur; Hope (Chris) Leightey, of Ray; and Vickie (Jim) Stansbery, of Milton, Florida. Del had just retired, having worked for Heritage Cooperative Inc. in Upper Sandusky, and also driving the mobile medical bus, Wyandot On Wheels, for Wyandot Memorial Hospital. He was a long time member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky, where he was active in caring for Camp Trinity. He also had been attending Trinity Evangelical, Upper Sandusky. Del enjoyed fishing, canoeing, bicycling or camping, just being outside in general and drinking his Pepsi, which was usually in his hand. He will be remembered for his loving spirit to help others in any way that he could. (Pd.012723)
