Francis E. “Gene” Wise Posted on May 1, 2017 0 Francis E. “Gene” Wise CAREY – Francis E. “Gene” Wise, formerly of Wharton, died at 10:25 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Catherine’s Manor, Findlay. He was 85. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, with the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Military rites will follow the service at the funeral home conducted by the Carey Honor Guard. Burial is at a later date in Wharton Richland-Union Cemetery, near Wharton. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s in care of the funeral home.
