Gene Brengartner Posted on January 8, 2024 0 TIFFIN — Gene Paul Brengartner, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. Gene was born July 20, 1940, in Detroit. He married Angela (Ritter) in Kirby, on June 21, 1997, and she survives in Tiffin. Other survivors include his children, Ricky Brengartner, of Florida; Penny Prater, of Kentucky; and Scott Brengartner, Gina Brengartner and Suzanne Brengartner, all of Tiffin; and numerous grandchildren. Gene was a jack-of-all-trades. He was involved with the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed playing games with his family, hunting and fishing and setting up a booth at the flea markets. Gene was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Cold War. There will be a celebration of Gene’s life from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. There will be no burial held at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.shookfamilyfh.com.
