McDermott, 78, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Upper Sandusky, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky. A celebration of life service for Robert E. McDermott is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wildwood Chapel, Upper Sandusky, with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wildwood Chapel building fund and may be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
