Rose Marie “Rosie” Ziegler Posted on November 12, 2019 0 SYCAMORE — Rose Marie “Rosie” Ziegler, age 89, formerly of 128 TH 15, Sycamore, died at 12:13 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at Elmwood Assisted Living of Tiffin. She was born July 25, 1930, in Seneca County, to Earl and Ruth (Keppler) Shock. She married George A. Ziegler on June 21, 1949, and he died Aug. 31, 2015.Surviving are the following children, Kenneth (Margaret) Ziegler, Nevada; Linda Steen, rural Carey; Marcia (Fredric) Joslyn, rural Sandusky; and Norma Jean (William) Roper, rural Whitehouse. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Shirley) Shock, Seiverville, Tennessee; and Lyle Shock, Bloomville.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Thomas Steen on Jan. 21, 2013; and a brother, Robert Shock.Rose was a homemaker, a 1949 graduate of Bloomville High School, a member of St. John’s Baseline United Church of Christ, a member of the Class 1 Sunday School Class and a member of the Womens Guild of the church. She also was a member of the Mohawk Historical Society and a member of the former Mohawk Sixty-Plus Club. For hobbies Rose loved to work in her garden and grow all kinds of flowers.Funeral services for Rose are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John’s Baseline United Church of Christ with Pastor Mike Ebersole and Pastor Jason Dittus officiating. Burial will follow at St. Johns Baseline Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, and also from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church before the funeral service.Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Baseline United Church of Christ, Mohawk Historical Society or Bridge Hospice, in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O.
