Arcadia scores 2 late runs to rally, 4-3 Posted on May 2, 2024 0 MOUNT BLANCHARD — Arcadia scored two runs in the sixth inning to rally past Riverdale 4-3 in a Blanchard Valley Conference baseball game Wednesday at Riverdale. The Redskins (8-10, 2-5 BVC) scored twice in the first inning to take a lead, but the Falcons (16-4, 4-3 BVC) came back with single runs in each of the first three innings. They did not score again. Alex Russler and Gauge King had two hits each for the Falcons. Evan Reiter singled, walked and scored twice. King was the losing pitcher in relief, allowing one earned run on six hits and one walk with five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings. Cam Furr started and allowed two earned runs on three hits and one walk with two strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings. Adam Emerich paced Arcadia with three hits, including a double, and an RBI. Zach Stewart tripled and scored. Stewart earned the win with three innings of scoreless relief in which he allowed just one hit with two strikeouts. Riverdale plays at 5 p.m. today at Wynford.
