The Blue Devils (15-3) earned a bye into the sectional finals, which are set for 7 p.m. Feb. 24 in the district. They will take on the winner between No. 9 seed Hopewell-Loudon (6-12) and No. 10 seed New Riegel (5-13), with that and all sectional semifinal games set for 7 p.m. Feb. 21. All sectional games are being hosted by higher seeded teams this season. Seeds were determined by a MaxPreps Ratings Percentage Index that considers record, opponents’ records, and opponents’ opponents’ records. Mohawk (8-7) is the No. 4 seed in the district and also has a bye into a home sectional final. The Warriors will take on the winner of No. 5 Tiffin Calvert (9-7) and No. 11 Vanlue (5-14). In the top half of the bracket, Riverdale (8-9) is the No. 8 seed and travels to face No. 7 seed Arlington (9-9). That winner takes on No. 2 seed Arcadia (15-3). The other sectional final pits No. 3 McComb (12-6) against No. 6 Old Fort (8-10). District semifinals are scheduled for 6 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 29, with the final to be played at 6 p.m. March 2 at Fostoria. In the Division III Shelby district, Upper Sandusky (12-6) is the No. 4 seed and has a bye into a 7 p.m. Feb. 24 sectional final at home. The Rams will take on the winner between No. 6 Willard (8-9) and No. 8 Edison (7-11), with sectional semifinal games set for 7 p.m. Feb. 22. The rest of the bottom of the bracket features No. 1 seed Margaretta (16-2) opting to play a sectional semifinal and drawing No. 12 Galion (3-16). The winner meets No. 11 Ashland Crestview (3-16). Wynford (12-5) is the No. 5 seed in the district and opens with a home game against No. 7 Bucyrus (6-11). The winner meets No. 2 seed Colonel Crawford (16-3). No. 3 Clear Fork (14-5) meets No. 10 Western Reserve (4-12), with the winner moving on to face No. 9 seed Huron (6-11). District semifinal games are 6 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 29, with the final scheduled for 6 p.m. March 2 at Shelby.
