MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale scored early but not again and settled for a 1-1 draw against Anna in a nonconference girls soccer match Saturday at Riverdale.

Mariah Bonham sent a through ball to sister Marissa Bonham, whose initial shot was blocked by Anna goalkeeper Abby Stroh, but Marissa collected the rebound and scored less than five minutes into the match for the Falcons (8-2-1).

Tori Osborn netted the only goal of the day for the Rockets (8-2-1) with just 2:36 left before the half. Neither team scored in the second half.

Possession was fairly even, with Anna holding a slight 11-10 advantage in shots, but with Riverdale putting more of them on goal, 6-3. Stroh made five saves, with Ryleigh Howard saving two shots for the Falcons.

Riverdale had more corner kicks, 3-2.

The Falcons play at 6 p.m. Thursday at Coldwater.
